Description

The
Architectural Coordinator act as the Coordinator of the site design team and is responsible for leading a team of architectural draftsperson.


This role will liaise closely with the Structural and M&E Coordinators to ensure buildable shop drawings are issued timely to the project site team.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

  • Ensure drawings produced by drafting team and sub-contractors are accurate and timely in alignment with the Project Master Program.
  • Identify shop drawings discrepancies, buildability and impact on different disciplines.
  • Relate design intent from architect / design consultant to buildable construction shop drawing.
  • Ensure design intent on critical dimensions are highlighted; details are workable and coordinated with other trades.
  • Liaise with architect, design consultant and subcontractors on design intent and technical issues.
  • Coordinate between architectural team and consultant drawings to ensure consistency in construction drawings.
  • Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
  • Lead in Site Coordination with all trades.
  • Prepare submission of shop drawing / Materials / MOS.
  • To ensure work is construct in accordance with contract and drawings.
  • Planning of Architectural Works and micro scheduling with other disciplines.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Implement and ensure QC plan
  • Procurement and Monitoring of Architectural related materials.
  • To carry out inspection/trade demo/ material testing / mockup
  • To verify VO and prepare back charges.
  • Attend subcon meetings.
  • To check and ensure compliance with TOP check list and RI (Arch)
  • Attend to Architectural materials, sample board, trade
- demo and shop drawings submission and submittal reviews comment from consultants.

  • To update Architectural progress with scheduling tools.
  • Other adhoc duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor/ Management.
  • Ensure work activities are carried out in safe working environment.
  • Relevant HDB experience will be added advantage

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Architectural / Building
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant local experience.

Technical Competencies

  • Coordination and identify areas of concerns with design intent
  • Understanding of structural / M&E drawings
  • Able to communicate with consultants in clear hand sketches drawing
  • Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities (ie BCA, SCDF, LTA)
  • Awareness of contractual obligations / rights
