Key points and objectives of the position

  • Guiding/reinforcing scrum process and maintaining the integrity of scrum values.
  • Lead and facilitate changes.
  • Coaches Product Owner/team on backlog refinement and prioritization.
  • Facilitating daily standups, estimation, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Review, and
  • Sprint Retrospective(can step out anytime and the team can still proceed)
  • Ensuring continuous improvements and team effectiveness
  • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
  • Focus on stakeholder management
  • Maintenance and upkeep of Agile artifacts (monitoring of burn down charts, retrospective action items, impediments)
  • Helps team members with impediments resolution (escalates as necessary)
  • Coaching the Development Team in selforganization and crossfunctionality
  • Helps team stay on target for completing the work that has been committed to during sprint planning
  • Encourages continuous feedbacks between PO and team.
  • Performs ongoing coaching/mentoring to the team in regards to the Agile process
  • Ensures team has the support and tools needed to effectively and efficiently do their work (escalates as necessary)
