    Description

    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Supermarket Officer. As a Supermarket Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our supermarket. You will be responsible for overseeing various tasks, such as inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, and compliance with safety regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the daily operations of the supermarket, including overseeing stock levels, ordering inventory, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked
    • Supervise and provide guidance to supermarket staff, including training new employees and conducting performance evaluations
    • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Implement and maintain effective loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damages
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving sales performance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the supermarket
    • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, manage contracts, and maintain strong relationships
    • Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify and resolve discrepancies
    • Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and improve operational efficiency
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a supermarket or retail environment
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, customers, and vendors
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various tasks simultaneously
    • Knowledge of inventory management systems and proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) software
    • Understanding of food safety regulations and experience in implementing and maintaining compliance protocols
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from sales data and make data-driven decisions
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
