    Roles & Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for coaching Production engineers to prepare process and control plans that enable the assembly technicians to perform assembly and test processes efficiently.
    • Responsible for the overall performance (Quality, OTD, Cost) in the assembly environment, including 5 'S' housekeeping and safety.
    • Prepare forecast capacity planning, output, planning, organizing and allocation of resources to meet delivery requirements.
    • Managing, leading and motivating the crew to build team spirit and to maintain high morale.
    • Strengthen the shop floor management practices by tapping the talents and creativity of staff to contribute in continuous improvements.
    • Ensure safety and operations compliance in the assembly environment; ISO 9000, EHS, clean room tools maintenance, test equipment calibration, ESD calibration, and proper documentation of assembly & test standards in the assembly environment.
    • Establish training plans, skills matrix, and certification of assembly technicians, and Engineers
    • Promote teamwork among employees to enable effective engagement within teams, as well as with the supporting functions
    • Staffing, performance management, and appraisal of employees
    • Manufacturing Supervisors, NPI Engineers, Production Engineers, and Assembly Technicians
    • Production Planning in the preparation of Production Plan, material availability
    • Finance on budget, utilization hours
    • HR on recruitment, counseling and discipline
    • Supply Chain/Procurement/Buyers on material availability and commit
    • Warehouse on materials issuance
    • QA on Quality Alerts, RTV, ISO and MRB
    • Suppliers on manpower in-source

    Major Activities

    • Continuous safety management + 5S housekeeping
    • Continuous quality improvement
    • Review manufacturing progress to achieve OTD
    • Management by walking around
    • Lead Production Engineers/Assembly Technicians to ensure effective/efficient assembly processes & test procedures
    • Lead to work with Production Leads, QA and Engineering colleagues
    • Efficiency Improvement projects – Cost and lead time improvement

    Requirements

    • Degree in Engineering
    • Work Experience: Degree holders - least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Managing teams in equipment manufacturing
    • Managing change
    • Manufacturing Processes, in equipment manufacturing
    • Organization development
    • Motivating people to value add
    • Analytical and structural in resolving issues
    • Ability to communicate well at all levels
    • Coaching capability
    • Microsoft Office applications
