Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation.

In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

To work with cross functional architecture and development teams to analyse and design solutions within the bank
To advise & build Standard architecture patterns in DevOps Engineering
Support design and development of process automation for DevOps activities.
Support documentation of standard processes and best practices.
Continuous Experimentation of Continuous Delivery and Testing processes and practices.
Handson coding, unit testing and automated functional testing.
Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required.
Ability to work with the latest tools and techniques
Working in highly collaborative teams and building quality environments.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure, fast paced, global environment

Requirements:

At least 912 years of experience as a Developer/ Development Lead.
Excellent problemsolving skills.
Preferably good knowledge and experience in DevOps automation, containerisation and orchestration using tools such as Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Kubernetes etc.
Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
Handson indepth experience in some of the following technologies:
Jenkins/Maven/Git/SonarQube/Fortify/Confluence/Jira/Artefactory
Cloud Foundry, OpenShift or other PaaS technologies.
Public clouds such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
Dockers, Garden, Kubernetes, Mesos.
Strong understanding of Linux.
Familiarity with relational databases, preferably MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL.
Experience working with, or an interest in Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum
Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD).
