A Research Associate position is available in the Centre for Information Sciences and Systems, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Job Description:
The Research Associate is responsible for assisting Research Fellows with computer programming, simulation, and invention disclosure, and is required to:
- Develop C/C++/MATLAB codes for multi-user coding scenarios
- Assist Research Fellows to simulate the state-of-the-art coding and modulation algorithms
- Analyze and compare the performance and complexity between different coded modulation solutions
- Refine the existing coding schemes and modulation strategies for different parameter configurations
- Prepare the invention disclosure and related journal/conference paper
- Work closely with PI, team members and collaborators to ensure timely and efficient completion of project milestones
- Keep track of technology trends
Job Requirements:
Educational background required:
- Master degree or above in Communication Engineering or related field from a reputable university
- Experience in coded modulations
- Researchassociate experience is preferred
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in publishing papers related to coding and detection
- Good understanding and ability in information theory, channel coding, and multiuser communications
- Knowledge of various errorcorrection codes and messagepassing algorithms
- Able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment
- Independent and can work well with a team
- Fluent verbal and written communications in English
