A Research Associate position is available in the Centre for Information Sciences and Systems, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

The Research Associate is responsible for assisting Research Fellows with computer programming, simulation, and invention disclosure, and is required to:

Develop C/C++/MATLAB codes for multi-user coding scenarios
Assist Research Fellows to simulate the state-of-the-art coding and modulation algorithms
Analyze and compare the performance and complexity between different coded modulation solutions
Refine the existing coding schemes and modulation strategies for different parameter configurations
Prepare the invention disclosure and related journal/conference paper
Work closely with PI, team members and collaborators to ensure timely and efficient completion of project milestones
Keep track of technology trends

Job Requirements:

Educational background required:

Master degree or above in Communication Engineering or related field from a reputable university
Experience in coded modulations
Researchassociate experience is preferred

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

Experience in publishing papers related to coding and detection
Good understanding and ability in information theory, channel coding, and multiuser communications
Knowledge of various errorcorrection codes and messagepassing algorithms
Able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment
Independent and can work well with a team
Fluent verbal and written communications in English
