    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    We are an established Importer/Wholesaler of foodstuff and is currently seeking for interested candidates to join us as a Shipping Executive fully in-charge of our inhouse Import/Export shipping requirements.

    Job-Scope

    • Liaise with Purchasing Dept/Overseas Suppliers for full set of import documents and declare Import Permit via Singapore Tradenet System
    • Book export shipments with Shipping Lines and prepare all necessary documents as well as declare Export Permit via Singapore Tradenet System.
    • Liaise closely with Carrier/Agents for Arrival Notice & cargo release to haulier
    • Regularly update import container arrival schedule
    • Work closely with Purchasing/Operations departmentl to resolve order or shipment related issues.
    • Correspond with Carrier/Agents for waiver of empty return container damage charges when necessary
    • Prepare Container Unloading List to Operations for quantity received verification.
    • Update internal Purchase Order whenever necessary with latest shipping document information.
    • Liaise with SFA office on food testing requirements
    • Keep proper filing of all documentations

    Pre-Requisites

    • Proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel & Outlook
    • Singaporeans or Singapore PRs only
    • Tradenet Declarant preferred
    • Can start work immediately will be an advantage
    • Possess minimum GCE'O' Level or a Diploma (preferably in Logistics Management/Supply Chain) with a minimum of 2 year of experience in Shipping/Logistics
    • Familiar with broad range of shipping documents & INCOTERMS
    • Dynamic, self-motivated, and persevering
    • Good command of English and must be able to read simple Chineseon Invoices
    • Demonstrates a strong sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player with a positive attitude
    • Able to multi-task, meticulous, fast worker, and withstand ad-hoc tight deadline pressures
    • Results-oriented and able to abide by tight deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility
    • Transport provided at designated pick-up points (Hougang, AMK, Bishan)
