Based in the north of Singapore, our Client is an industrial powerhouse committed to delivering quality, cutting edge technologies to their customers worldwide.

They are looking for a Legal Counsel to join them. You will oversee the Company's business conduct in compliance to local & international law and regulations.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Counsel and working with other members of the leadership team and external counsel in Singapore and overseas subsidiaries.
Collaborate with functional stakeholders and management to provide legal support and advice to various business groups across the Group.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents across the Group.
Identify potential legal issues in the Group's operation and offer proactive advice on legal issues.
Communicate and negotiate with external parties (business partners, regulators, vendors and outside counsel etc) as and when necessary.
Confident to work independently and possess work experiences in at least two of the following areas: Contract laws; Corporate laws; Data Protection laws; Employment Laws; Commercialisation of Intellectual Properties; Sanction laws; or Litigation.

Requirements:

At least a Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable law school;
At least 3 to 5 years of postqualification experience in the same or related roles of an inhouse legal team and/or in private practice in those areas mentioned above;
Experienced working on cross border transactions, preferably with exposure to Asia Pacific Experienced working in a multinational manufacturing, industry in particular manufacturing and supply of electronics product
