Reporting to the Asst. Manager, Merchandising, the incumbent will undertake buying and product development processes for the confections category at Universal Studios Singapore.
Job ResponsibilitiesIdentify market trends and propose confections assortments (Primary product category) that are high-quality, shelf-stable products with long shelf lifeConduct market research on ideas and viabilityDevelop products with approved Key Visuals and work with factories to develop new OEM products, such as and not limited, to souvenir snacks, candies and biscuitsIdentify key target audiences for each merchandising programManage confections product life-cycles and understand sales and sell-through for replenishment and developing the right productsLiaise with Global sourcing team on new potential factories and productsSubmit product concepts on licensor platforms for approvalsUndertake procurement of product ordersFollow up with factories at various stages of product developmentLiaise with factories on final production samplesWork with the Inventory Management team to manage the movement and activity of all ordersPrepare product catalogues and create orders on backend CMSEnsure all products, information, and promotional details are displayed correctly according to guidelines and promotions activation at Universal Studios storesUndertake field research to gather feedback from Retail Operations team and consumers to constantly improve product mix and qualityJob Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Merchandising or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of merchandising experience, preferably with background in Retail and Budgeting.
• Good negotiation skills and research ability
• Good communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to various stakeholders
• Motivated, pro-active and creative
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Familiarity with the confections industry landscape
• Possessing basic design skill is a bonusCompany information
