SummaryThis position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
DutiesThe psychologist will function as a member of the VISN 21 Clinical Resource Hub (CRH), Mental Health section, which provides a VISN-wide coverage mechanism created to provide services primarily via telehealth for primary care, mental health and specialty care.
Clinical Responsibilities:Diagnoses mental health disorders, conducts psychological assessments
Treats mental health disorders, including PTSD, though evidence-based psychotherapies
Consults with colleagues on a variety of patient care issues.
Program Development & Evaluation:
Under the overall direction of the Director of Mental Health Section of the Clinical Resources Hub, oversees the establishment of program monitors and outcome measurements using a quality assurance processes.
Presents outcome data and research results at VA and regional and national scientific or professional meetings.Academic/Teaching/Training:
May hold a faculty appointment at nearest VA academic affiliate . University of California, San Francisco
May provide clinical supervision to a range of trainees.
Other Significant Responsibilities:
Serves on VISN 21 and/or National VA committees or task forces.
Actively participates local, state and national professional organizations, as appropriate based on location.
Represents VISN 21 Tele-mental Health (TMH) at professional/program community group/events and committees as arranged.
Work Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Must be willing to work Pacific Standard Time hours)
