Description

The Social Media Art Director conceptualises, designs, and executes visually engaging and cohesive creative content across various social media platforms.

They will collaborate closely with the marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency and drive effective communication through visually appealing and innovative design.


Responsibilities:


Creative Direction:


  • Develop and communicate a consistent visual brand identity across all social media channels. Led the creative vision and concept development for social media campaigns and projects.

Content Creation:


  • Design and create compelling graphics, illustrations, animations, and videos tailored for each platform.
  • Generate fresh and captivating visual ideas that align with brand messaging and marketing objectives.
  • Craft eyecatching visuals for posts, stories, ads, and other social media assets.

Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with content creators, copywriters, and marketing team members to develop integrated campaigns. Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to understand project requirements and goals.

Platform Expertise:


  • Stay current with design trends, social media algorithms, and platform capabilities. Optimize designs for each platform's unique specifications and user behaviour.

Brand Consistency:


  • Ensure that all social media visuals adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel. Provide guidance and creative input to ensure brand consistency in all online communications.

Project Management:


  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively. Coordinate with other creative team members to delegate tasks and ensure smooth project workflow.

Performance Analysis:


  • Monitor the performance of creative assets and campaigns, analyzing engagement metrics and making datadriven design decisions. Iterate and optimize designs based on performance insights.

Software Proficiency:


  • Expertise in industrystandard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.). Familiarity with social media scheduling and management platforms.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record of creating visually compelling and successful social media campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, particularly for social media.
  • Knowledge of emerging design trends and social media best practices.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the social media industry if preferred.
