Description

The role requires the management and supervision of various groups and business areas of Structured Finance Department Asia Pacific, including Strategic Planning, Business Control, Equity Investment Japanese clients related Structured Finance transactions (both origination and credit control) and HR matters.

The role also requires the coordination with relevant departments including SMBC Head Office in Tokyo to consider business strategy such as ESG solution or mid-term business plan of Structured Finance area for APAC.

The role also needs to support the relationship with Japanese Governmental Agency or Japanese Companies from Structured Finance's perspective as well as control of sevral Project Finance transactions.


Responsibilities:


  • Overall management and supervision of various groups and staffs at the same department
  • Strategic planning for business development of structured finance area in APAC.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with Japanese clients in South East Asia and Oceania.
  • Overall management to several Japanese companies' related project finance transactions.
  • Responsible to develop equity investment and asset management business.
  • Liaise and cowork with relevant departments and SMBC group members to consider business strategy and accomplish several internal reports
  • Support adhoc works for senior management of SMBC Singapore and GMs at at the same department.
  • Develop team members' skill and motivate others to maximize the outcome of the team

Job Requirements

  • At least 15 year experiences of structured finance transactions in various regions/countries at Financing Sector.
  • Management experiences for at least 15 persons as Managing director or equivalent title at Banking Sector.
  • Track record to develop equity investment and asset management business
  • Proficient in Japanese language (spoken and written) is advantageous as this role needs to discuss with Japanese Clients and make presentation in Japanese.
  • Deep sector knowledges of infrastructure and power.
  • Professional level of MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint,and the analysis and creating of financial model.
  • University graduate with strong academic background
  • A team player but also independent and selfmotivated
  • Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise, manage and meet expectations/deadlines with strong work ethics, integrity and commitment
  • Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law and banking regulations
