RESPONSIBILITIES
The mission of the Business Development Manager in the "Tech & Services" sector includes among others:

  • Identify leads for individual project assignments and lead their implementation (market research, prospection, test on the offer % of time)
  • Increase the flow of prospects: animation and development of a network of business introducers (Business France ASEAN, Business France in Paris, clusters/professional associations, regions, economic expansion committees, etc.), consolidation/constitution of prospecting databases
  • Commercial development: gathering and formalising the clients needs, drawing up a tailormade offer solutions and quotations, and following up with the client until payment.
  • Production: drawing up specifications, selecting potential business partners according to the clients priorities, approaching targets directly, organising the appointment schedule, supporting the client and monitoring client satisfaction
  • Organisation of collective project initiatives (market discovery mission, B2B meetings, webinars, conferences, French Pavilion at trade fairs, etc.) (30% of time)
a) Business development, i.e.

, sourcing companies and identifying potential targets in the context of:


  • Discovering the Singaporean market in the form of "Business Trip" or "Learning expedition" (business groups, professional federations, business or engineering schools, etc.)
- "French Pavilions" at trade shows in Singapore (French companies wishing to rent an exhibition space to promote themselves in Asia)

  • Tailormade professional events (symposium, inauguration, networking event...)

b) Production:

  • Organisation and management of all aspects of the event (budget, planning, resources and partners involved, logistics with organisers and suppliers, management of unforeseen events if necessary, communication support, receptionbriefing...), to ensure the smooth running of the event and the satisfaction of the client(s).3. Market intelligence and documentary production (10% of time)
  • Monitoring and analysis of market trends and needs (drafting/updating of market sheets, country sheets, sector analyses, drafting of articles and news items, etc.), monitoring of local and regional regulations, participation in networking events/trade shows/conferences, etc.
  • Regular communication and management of the relationship with public and private operators (telephone or online exchanges / physical meetings) in France and in Singapore, participation in events in France to promote the Singapore market, direct approach of prospects (to identify common interests and establish partnership strategies)

Requirements:


  • French and English: spoken, read and written necessary to communicate with French companies and to liaise with the Singaporean economic ecosystem
  • Experience/Interest in the sector(s) of Tech (IT, Telecom, Cybersecurity, IoT, eCommerce, RetailTech, FinTech, AI)
  • Skills in business development, event organisation and project management
  • Proactivity and team spirit (willing to go beyond the strict job description when the activity requires it)
  • Organised, attentive to details and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and to make proposals to develop the activity of the structure
  • Ability to travel 12 times a year, outside of Singapore
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience
  • Sales/marketing degree would be a plus
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management tools (Microsoft Pack Office, CRM tool)
