2023 Graduate Trainee Program - Finance:

This is a 18-month program designed to equip you with foundational knowledge and professional skills in the Finance department, with rotation across various functions such as Credit Risk, Tax, FP&A and Business Controlling.

Through practical projects and mentoring from leaders in the team, you would gain deeper understanding of the business and competencies that are essential to furthering your career growth.

Depending on individual performance, you could expect to develop professionally in the FP&A or Business controlling function after the program and beyond.

**Key Department Rotations and Responsibilities:

Business Controlling:

Prepare, monitor and understand the Daily P&L and Positions for assigned Platform/business unit
Assist Platform Controller to produce Weekly and Monthly P&Ls and provide Daily and Monthly Commentary on Platform performance
Ensure an accurate monthly closing in accordance with internal deadlines and reporting requirements

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

Assist in preparation of annual Budgets for Singapore and Malaysia on topics of G&A, Capex, Net Interest
Input of Budget and Landing data into Global financial reporting system (Magnitude).
Assist Regional Controller in coordinating and managing of Budget and Landing process for South and South East Asia including production of regional presentations and variance analysis.
Produce Adhoc Management Reporting for Regional Management including Trend Analysis, YearonYear Comparatives and KPI monitoring.

Finance Processes & Systems Optimization (FPSO - ATLAS or other projects)

Assist with system projects, including strategy implementation, and user support to other controllers

Tax

Assist in income tax return preparation and filings on or before their respective due date
Assist in the response to tax authority queries, defending historical commercial / tax positions taken
Support the Regional Tax team with adhoc business advisory and support as required

Credit

Spreading of counterparty Financial Statements into LDC Scorecard
Counterparty business research, information gathering for trade requests/credit reviews
Check/ensure exposure accuracy in weekly reports and follow up with various stakeholders / frontend systems

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent
02 years' experience in commodities industry or product/business analysis/audit a plus
Strong problem solving and numerical/analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and programming languages eg. VBA, Python a plus
Ability to work independently and handle conditions of uncertainty
