Description

A government-owned oil and gas company, established in 1993, operates globally across energy value chain, contributing to economic diversification, employing over 9,000 workers, and serving customers in 60 markets with top-notch customer service.

They are looking for an experienced credit analyst for internal expansion.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the incumbent will be working as an individual in a team of 3 team members.

The responsibilities include assessing customer risk, analyzing financial statements, establishing credit limits, ensuring compliance with credit policy, communicating with counterparties, preparing credit reports, negotiating credit terms, and reassessing creditworthiness of customers.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.
Solid academic background, with recognized professional finance and/or credit qualification (CFA, ACA, CIMA, etc.)
Minimum of two (2) years' experience credit risk, market risk experience ideally across both a trading and marketing environment, with knowledge of financial and energy businesses
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in performing call outs and other collection efforts to third party customers
Willingness to grow and invest time in own development by (for instance) taking courses such as International Credit and Trade Finance (ICTF)
