The Procurement Director is responsible for development and execution of Omni Logistics' procurement strategy across key expense categories in Asia.

Initially the Procurement Director will be tasked to build the Procurement Department in Asia by first delivering value and proving out the concept of centralized procurement and then building a team to support.

This also includes managing the full procurement lifecycle including vendor discovery, vetting, RFQs, negotiations, supporting analytics, contracting, onboarding, performance management, score-carding, and issue resolution.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analyze market dynamics and company needs to support category management and other key components of Omni Logistics' procurement strategy
  • Identify, size, prioritize and timeline procurement opportunities across the spend base for indirect expenses. Knowledge and experience in sourcing Logistics categories is desirable.
  • Lead and/or support the execution of a variety of procurement initiatives across categories, including RFQs, rapid negotiations, tail spend consolidation, and make/buy decisions
  • Manage supplier discovery and vetting processes across categories
  • Identify the resources required to effectively manage key procurement processes; work with the senior leadership team to secure resources across functions
  • Keep current on procurement tools and technology offerings that will create efficiencies in the procurement function; communicate those needs to leadership
  • Work closely with the Business Analytics & Data Sciences team to ensure proper spend analytics and other procurement resources are developed and maintained in Power BI
  • Develop and lead supplier performance and relationship management, including score carding and QBRs
  • Coordinate efforts with ESG team to ensure Omni Logistics has leading best in class programs defined and implemented across vendor landscape
  • Liaison with stakeholders across Omni Logistics enterprise
  • Act as a PointofContact (POC) for procurement matters in a large stationbased business environment
  • Follow up with key stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are carried out effectively
  • Develop and lead an agile team of category managers and procurement generalists
  • Project management and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master degree in supply chain or related field preferred
  • Advanced Excelbased analytical and modeling skills, proficiency in Power BI a plus
  • 510 Years related experience in supply chain and/or procurement
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain industries preferred
