We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to fill the role of Sous Chef.

This role encompasses the leadership and management components within the Back of House extent, being able to creatively develop and execute strategies in and out the hectic space of the kitchen through admirable interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to mentor a team are essential so as to elevate a team of passionate cooks to knowledgeable and well experienced chefs.

You'll be in charge of:

Planning and directing food preparation
Managing Culinary team
Training and scheduling of team
Food quality control
Expediting
Cost control of ingredients
Setting up workstation with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Preparing food for service (miseenplace)
Checking quality of ingredients
Monitoring stock and place order when there are shortages
Cooking menu items
Enforcing strict health and hygiene standard and troubleshooting any problems that may arise
Being an awesome role model for team members

What we're looking for:

Minimum 5 years of kitchen experience with 2 years in a supervisory role
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc)
High standards of health and safety including personal hygiene
Working in every area of the kitchen
Able to perform basic task of food preparation and organisation of the kitchen
