    About the Role

    To play a key role in contributing towards company's growth, particularly in the areas of strategic plan development, regular monitoring of key strategic KPIs, and special cross-functional strategic projects.
  • Provide support for the strategic planning process by collaborating with various divisions to ensure quality and timeliness of their submissions, including preparation of materials to facilitate reviews by senior management team and enable clear communication of the Strategic Plan.
  • Work closely with various divisions, and provide support in business performance analysis that enable meaningful discussion and formulation of strategic initiatives by EXCO.
  • Contribute actively to the identified key strategic projects by leading certain strategic initiatives and/or providing assistance to ensure that the overall project timeline and objectives are met.
  • Provide support in the review of special strategic projects or opportunities that arise, e.g. including but not limited to, strategic partnerships, or other inorganic growth strategy.
  • Monitor the progress of the key strategic initiatives as part of the regular updates provided to EXCO.
  • Keep abreast of key market trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth competitor analysis, industry benchmarking and research for timely periodic communication to EXCO and Group.
  • Prepare communication materials on the business performance highlights for the company that will be used for various purposes, such as results announcement, staff and agency events.
  • Degree in Finance or Actuarial or other related professional qualification
  • Minimum 8 years of financial management / strategic planning experience and a proven successful track record, ideally in a high growth business environment
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the financial field, demonstrated experience in budget and profitability management
  • Strong understanding of insurance business management, ideally in the management of non-financial functions such as product development, operations or distribution
  • Able to work independently and in a team, as well as being proactive and constantly striving for excellence
  • Able to communicate and influence effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau), and programming language (e.g. SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights are desirable
