Our client's principal activities are to provide Clients with Full Turn Key Project Management. This includes engineering, project management through the pre-construction planning, critical path development, construction / fabrication / site management, commissioning and hand over. Job Descriptions

Responsibilities

· Responsible to qualify and approve the WPS, PQR, WQT of materials like CS, LTCS, HYCS, DSS, SDSS, CuNi, Inconel, SS, Overlayed pipes.

· Preparation of welding related procedures for projects and support ISO 3834 welding management system implementation and certification.

· Ensure Welding consumable control system is in place and followed up during issue, usage at site.

· Identify and develop the WPS for the project based on Construction codes and project specifications.

· Establish welding sequence for the structure to minimize of control the distortion.

· Co-ordinate with Client and Classification body on welding related issues at site on day to day basis.

· To ensure regular updating and release of the Qualification welder list for module specific for the project

· Monitor calibration of Welding equipment and other measuring instrument used for inspection of welding

· Perform surveillance inspections related to following WPS requirements at site.

· Responsible to trouble shoot the problems related to Welding.

· Establish welding sequence for critical structure to minimize / control distortion.

· Prepare and conduct Project Specific Inductions/workshops/tool/box talk about welding control requirements.

· Welding defect analysis and implementation of correction and corrective actions.

· Coordinate with production team on corrective measures related to welding issues

· Propose improvements in welding process, products etc.,

· Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirement

· A Diploma / Degree in Welding, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering is essential.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in in Marine, Oil, and Gas.
• AWS/ TWI Certified Welding Engineer
• Good understanding of API and ISO standards would be advantageous.
• International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification will be advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Good knowledge in Welding Process
• Knowledge of metallurgy, welding processes
• Knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing requirements (RT, UT, LPT, MPT, & ET)
• Familiar with Class Rules, Codes, National and International Standards
• Familiar with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW, & GTAW welding processes
• Familiar with CS, SS, Cu Ni, Duplex, Super Duplex, and Titanium material specifications
• Able to prepare Quality Assurance Plans and Procedures, Quality Management System, and Quality System Audits
• Able to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights.
• Good in planning, organising, interpersonal skills and able to work independently

Job Related Information

· Permanent - 5.5 days' work week | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 8am-12pm

· Office Location: Gul Road| Western part of Singapore

• Monthly Basic Salary will be based on skills and exp.
• OT pay entitlement: OT Flat rate S$8/- per hour
