Responsibilities

  • Work within our dynamic data and intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the wider Edelman teams and be directly involved in highprofile client's PR communications projects, consisting of a wide range of primary and secondary research.
You're expected to carry out the below job scopes with training and guidance provided:


  • Manage project coordination independently or with support, depending on size and complexity of projects.
  • Support research design and data collection, quality control, production, and analysis of research materials and documents.
  • Primary research efforts will include:
  • 1. Support the planning, coordination and execution of assigned research projects, including questionnaire preparation, fieldwork set up, data collection, analysis plan, insights generation and report writing.
  • 2. Liaise with internal teams and counterparts to ensure projects run smoothly on time and within budget
  • Secondary research efforts will include:
  • Manage media monitoring projects on ad-hoc and continuous basis.
  • 2. Prioritize and organize media content into monitoring reports using both thirdparty and proprietary software
  • 3. Assist project teams with general desk research
  • 4. Assist with the set up and configuration of our proprietary online media monitoring tool for clients (training provided)
  • 5. Analyze news and social media coverage for metrics, such as sentiments, influencers, spokespeople, messages communicated, outlet type, and topic

Basic Qualifications You must have an interest in communications and/or research and possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others.

  • Quick learner with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fastpast environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Communication and writing skills
  • Data and statistical knowledge
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Familiarity with SPSS or other statistical software is not required, but would be a significant plus

Nice to have, but not a requirement:

  • Degrees in social sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Anthropology, Political Science), communications, marketing, business, mathematics and statistics or related area of study
  • Ability to learn and master new concepts quickly
  • Excellent reading, writing, editing, data interpretation, and data storytelling skills
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research and analysis is highly preferred
