    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES· Providing 1st and 2nd level customer support for service requests and emergency

    • field servicing Leica Microsystems with key products Medical/Stereo microscopes and EM Sample Preparation.
    • Installation of new instruments and assist with product demonstrations
    • Actively involved in identifying instrument failures and providing detailed failure analysis in the field to help improve overall field efficiency, customer satisfaction and drive improvement solutions.
    • Maintenance of demo instruments to ensure excellent working order
    • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
    • Provide excellent customer service by providing safe, timely and accurate repairs in a courteous and professional manner
    • Working closely with the Service Admin team to ensure timely delivery of quality of customer service
    • Maintain accurate instrument service reports and documentation through online service documentation systems.

    • Diagnostic abilities –
    a key aspect of a field engineer's daily duties is diagnosing problems with existing equipment and finding solutions to them, so great diagnostic abilities are essential

    • Analytical thinking –
    the ability to analyse systems and manage technical tasks is important in this job, and needs the technical and analytical skills to carry these tasks out effectively

    • Problem-solving skills –
    provide technical support for different projects, including the testing and maintenance of systems, so good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are essential in this role

    Education and qualification:

    • Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualifications in electronics, engineering or similar discipline mandatory
    • Possession of a Restricted Electrical license/connect and disconnect or eligible to obtain.
    • Good knowledge of Basic Computer and Networking principles
    • Basic mechanical understanding
