As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM) team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance

• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications

• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation

• Applies technical troubleshooting to breakdown solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity

• Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development

• Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems

• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information systems / Engineering or related disciplines

• Minimum 2 years of software engineering and cloud development experience

• Experience in UI technologies such as React, Redux and Node

• Strong Java development in Java tech stack – Java17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, SQL and NoSQL

• Possess a good understanding of Microservices principles and container based development and deployment in Kubernetes

• Possess a good understanding and experience in CI/CD (Jenkins, Terraform), Applicant Resiliency, and Security

• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies

• Experience in public cloud or private cloud are preferable

• Experience in Python
