    We are seeking a competent individual with relevant local experience in compliance relating to market conduct and investigation in the insurance industry.

    Responsibilities

  • Conducting investigations in relation to market misconduct that are referred to Manulife directly or referred from external sources (e.g. MAS and FIDReC).
  • Prepare for monthly Disciplinary Committee meetings on investigation findings for Panel review.
  • Support to convene deviation hearings against sanctions and communicate to relevant parties.
  • Assist to train more junior members and review investigation reports as necessary.
  • Provide adverse information for reference check requests for ex-Financial Planners and screenings conducted by other business units.
  • Conduct ad-hoc review escalations of potential market misconduct indicators.
  • Conduct trainings on Market Conduct standards to Manulife tied-agency force.
  • Involved in corporate or department initiatives or projects, where required, and lead in processes enhancement within the sales compliance team.
  • Capable of handling more advanced compliance work and leading/supporting of ad-hoc projects.

  • What we are looking for

  • Diploma or Degree in finance, business, or related field.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
  • Background in Distribution Compliance is essential.
  • Professional qualifications such as FLMI, Diploma in Life Insurance, and completion of CMFAS Exams (M5, M9, M9A, CHI, M8, M8A).
  • Diploma in Financial Planning is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, showcasing a strong tech-savvy aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ethical and tenacious mindset.
  • Efficient communication, analytical, and report writing skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative attitude with a team-player mindset.
