Position Overview
J.P.

Morgan is comprised of four business segments, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management.

Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides loan servicing functions to all four JPMorgan lines of business.


APAC Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office (WLS MO) provides end to end execution on lending services to multiple line of business across Commercial Banking and Corporate Investment Banking.

Services provided include loan origination, loan agency, servicing support for loans and secondary loan trading support. Services are tailored to the needs of clients and line of business, ranging from bilateral to syndication.

The role is within Asia Loan Operations Singapore (ALO SG) team.


Core Responsibilities

  • Daytoday you will support middle office functions including but not limited to processing of all loan related activities such as drawdowns, rollover, repricing, repayment, interest and fee payments in the Bank's primary loan booking system (Loan IQ).
  • Timely processing of all transactions and liaising with the internal stakeholders, borrowers, lenders and facility agents to ensure smooth execution of processes and lifecycle events.
  • Review credit agreements and opine on feasibility of operational clauses, administer cash flow settlements, perform cash breaks reconciliation and exception monitoring
  • Handle and follow up on day to day inquiries and issue resolution, monitoring / tracking / reporting of all escalated issues using appropriate workflow tools
  • Facilitate and maintain a robust control standard by ensuring SOPs are adhered and updated
  • Creating and understanding key metrics reporting, updating the MIS/KPI on a regular basis. Keeping track of the open items and taking appropriate action before the deadlines
  • Working on nonBAU projects and initiatives designed to streamline process and strengthen the team's control environment to ensure increase efficiency

Required

Qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years relevant work experience in loan operations
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions. Exhibit initiative to raise issues to appropriate/relevant parties when needed and has the ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal
  • Proactive/selfstarter with the ability to deliver valueadded support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • With good work ethic, a team player and able to collaborate with other teams to achieve a common goal.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Ability to use webbased technology effectively

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of Loan IQ will be an advantage.
  • Facility documentation knowledge is an advantage
