[What the role is]


The 3P Network Division (3PND) of NEA develops and integrates educational and publicity initiatives and programmes for the 3P (People, Public, Private) sectors.

This ensures greater synergy and effectiveness in our outreach programmes to promote greater environmental sustainability.

Through the planning and organising of partnership programmes and activities/events, 3PND aims to raise awareness of environmental issues in the community and to equip them with the skills and knowledge to take ownership of the environment.

[What you will be working on]


The Programmes and Partnerships Department (PPAD)'s role is to plan and implement national and flagship engagement programmes, as well as engage targeted audience segments to shift the community towards environmental sustainability.

It will also implement and enhance the environmental volunteer programmes to promote and grow pro-environmental behaviours in the community.

The Department will work closely with stakeholders and partners in different sectors, such as Corporates and Youths, to promote CSR and sustainability related efforts/ partnerships and; to encourage ground-up initiatives.


You will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist the Senior Assistant Director to plan, develop and implement environmental engagement and outreach programmes/ platforms under the national flagship Youth for Environmental Sustainability (YES) movement and other related initiatives. The key focus for this position is to engage youths to promote awareness, encourage actions and volunteerism/ground-up initiatives and develop youth leaders to champion sustainability topics under NEA's purview.
  • Build, empower and manage a network of key partners from the 3P (People, Private, Public) sectors, identifying and initiating collaborations to facilitate environmental outreach and partnership programmes to grow the YES movement in the youth and local community.
The key focuses include establishing and maintaining collaborations/connections with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs:

Institutes of Technical Education, Polytechnics and Universities), youth organisations and other youths/youth networks; and developing programmes with partners (eg.

Corporates) to promote youths actions and involvement.

  • Develop training programmes, mentor and develop selected youths and youth leaders to implement community programmes.
  • Administer and promote NEA Grant to support youth actions for sustainability.
  • Monitor progress, KPIs, budget and conduct reviews of environmental outreach and outreach programmes/ platforms for continuous improvement.
[What we are looking for]

  • Preferably with at least 26 years of working experience preferably in outreach, engagement and partnerships. Experience working with youths and related programme development would be an advantage.
  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing initiatives/community programmes, events management, vendor management and working with partners from 3P (People, Private, Public) sectors. Experience in digital communications or capacity/training and development for youths would be a bonus.
  • Keen interest in environmental issues (e.g. zero waste), youth engagement and other stakeholder engagement.
  • Prior knowledge or education on environmental management would be an added advantage.
  • Possess the passion and a nurturing aptitude to develop youths on sustainability including working with youths, young adults, institutes of higher learning and youth networks to promote volunteerism, groundup initiatives and community programmes.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent writing, communication, facilitation and marketing skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and outside office hours including weekday evenings and weekends as the youth projects are typically after school/office hours and on weekends.
  • A good team player who enjoys communicating and working with others.
  • Organised and able to multitask with attention to the detail.
  • Able to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
