What the role is
Manager (Student Finance) [2-Year Contract] in the Finance & Administration Department.

What you will be working on

Supervise and lead the teams handling Pre-Employment Training (PET) students related financial operations, to work closely and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Plan, oversee and manage overall financial operation and schedule for the academic year pertaining to PET operations
Prepare/Review financial system setups to ensure transactions generated are accurate and complete, and manage exceptions if required
Prepare/Review PET financial related reporting and regulatory submissions, including accounting reports for monthend closing, yearly budget reports, yearly funding reports and claims
Ensure PET financial related functions are accomplished in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Advise, review, streamline and improve PET financial related processes
Resource planning and development of staff
Perform any other administrative tasks, duties or adhoc projects as assigned
Key responsibilities as system functional leader will include the following:
Liaise with consultants/developers supporting the PET system
Conduct user acceptance tests
Monitor and manage change requests
Coordinate between the key finance users and the consultants/ developers

What we are looking for

Qualification in Accountancy and Business
At least 3 years of relevant working experience
Resourceful, meticulous, able to work independently and as an effective team player
Possess good time management and communication skills (written & spoken)
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and able to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Experience in project implementation will be advantageous
Able to commit for 2 years
