We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an
AVP, Business Development.

Principal Responsibilities


The AVP, Business Development role is responsible for supporting senior business development managers in generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives.

The tasks for this role will include most of the following:

  • Supporting origination efforts of Global Trade and Receivables Finance solutions for dedicated portfolios of international, large corporate clients across a range of industries
  • establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
  • Aggressively grow local revenues for the dedicated portfolio of clients
  • Assisting in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
  • Assisting in the communication of new products, propositions, and relevant market information to customers
  • Proactively identifying sales opportunities and develop these opportunities
  • Supporting distribution channel business development strategies
  • Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximise crossselling opportunities for the bank
  • Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities
  • Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews
Requirements


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Robust time management, planning and organization skills
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
  • Strong level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural, and regulatory issues
  • Experience with trade finance products, corporate lending, experience working with large multinational corporates preferred
