What the role is

  • MSF's Communications and Engagement Division spearheads and executes communication and citizen engagement initiatives to promote greater public awareness for MSF's policies and programmes.

What you will be working on

  • The Senior Manager (Volunteer Management) will develop, implement, and evaluate the Ministry's MSFCares Network volunteer programmes.

He/She will develop and manage partnerships with external stakeholders including businesses, community organisations and institutes of higher learning to raise awareness and support for MSF's partnerships and programmes in the community.

He/She will also work with agencies to ascertain best practices that inform our volunteer training programmes.

He/she will work with a team to develop and roll-out volunteer engagement processes to keep good oversight, learning/ training collaterals and communications materials to keep our Network engaged, and also ensure that volunteer coordinators receive support to offer timely, updated information to volunteers.

In addition, he/she will monitor and review MSF's recruitment of volunteers, to ensure that operational needs are met, and to ensure that insights from feedback are collected used to better volunteer experiences with MSF.


The role involves:

  • Outreach and Engagement
  • Design and implement volunteer engagement programmes e.g. learning journey, meetings
  • Provide support for the conduct of volunteer initiatives and programmes
  • Partnering and collaborating to maintain longterm volunteering partnerships for MSF
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external partners such as community partners for groundup
  • Marcom and Content Creation and Curation
  • Develop and implement a range of marketing, training / learning collaterals, in accessible formats to promote our volunteer programmes.
  • Data Analytics and Research
  • Administer annual volunteer surveys.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate database for tracking/reporting and drawing insights.
  • Brand Strategy and Management
  • Engage advocates and share their stories on our digital platforms.
  • Establish brand guidelines and compliance.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience preferred in:
  • Volunteer and community partnership programmes management; and
  • Stakeholder engagement and/or community relations
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration/ Communications or related disciplines
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work well with a diverse group of professionals from the public and private sectors.
  • Selfdriven, has a 'cando' attitude, and a good team player whilst also able to work independently.
  • Likes working with complex issues and to develop winwin solutions.
