Description
We are an established shipping company specialising in dry bulk vessel chartering and operatoion. In this position, you will be reporting to the Manager of Operationand will be responsible for handling of all operational aspects of vessel to ensure optimal voyage performance.
Job responsibility
- Handling of all operational aspects of vessel to ensure optimal voyage performance
- Coordinating with ship master, ship broker, bunker trader, port agents on daytoday operation matter to ensure all voyages running smoothly
- Coordinating with account and commercial department on time charter and financial related matter
- Handling of voyage accounts for the ships including laytime calculation and settlement of final voyage account with ship owner and voyage charterer
- Updating of vessel itinerary, B/L collection, BDN and income payable and receivable for respective voyages
- To control voyage expenses, optimize voyage turn around time and maximizing profitability for the respective voyages
- Any other duties as per required from time to time
Job requirements
- Diploma or Degree holders with at least 3 years' work experience in dry bulk shipping
- Experience in ship operations as ship owner, operator or commodity trader are preferred
- Experience in operating panamax and supramax size ships with dry bulk cargoes like coal, nickel ore, iron ore, grain etc
- Experience in handling time charter and voyage charter
- Good time management and communication
- Able to handle the job independently
- Able to work in team working environments
- Multilingual preferably Mandarin, Malays or other languages are advantageous
- Able to start work within short notice is preferred
