    Roles & Responsibilities

    NEA is the lead agency for planning for after-death facilities and services in Singapore. The Memorial Facilities and Planning Division oversees the planning and provision of these facilities. As a member of MFPD, you will be responsible for leading the planning and launch of new after-death facilities, and maintaining oversight of the development process. This includes projecting the after-death facility requirements and other after-death trade demands as our demographics change over time.

    This role requires close collaboration and consultation with other Agencies and multiple stakeholders, to ensure timely and sustainable provision of such facilities. It is also a supervisory role. The candidate must have a good eye for details and will take on finance and procurement responsibilities.

    You will be responsible for the following:

    • Supervise staff and guide their planning and development work
    • Lead the planning and development of after-death facilities and managing consultants and contractors
    • Manage and plan for launch of upcoming after-death facilities
    • Formulate policy and operational strategies to manage disamenities arising from after-death facilities and associated trades
    • Review and develop relevant policies and regulations related to after-death services
    • Perform other duties as required under work exigencies

    Requirements:

    • At least 5 years of experience in development, policy, or land-use planning.
    • At least 3 years of experience in supervisory roles
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
    • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
    • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
