    Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is one of the top communication schools in the world, ranking 6th on this year Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings.

    The Research Office is established to support all research works at WKWSCI.Being part of the Research Office at WKWSCI, this position supports the grant administration function in advising and assisting faculty and research staff members in all aspects of internally funded research projects and other scholarly research activities.


    Responsibilities:

    Research Grant Administration:
    Provides effective administration of research grant call applications and management of awarded grants


    Assumes the role as SAP Concur reviewer and first-level approver and work with the Finance department to provide the fastest and smoothest approver flow.


    Communication of Research InformationCreates weekly research e-newsletter to communicate information on internal and external grant calls to faculty and research staff members.

    Develops content for the school's website for research grants, projects and achievements.

    Develops Research-related publications (Research Brochures /Pamphlets)

    Assists with the organisation of the monthly WKWSCI Speaker Series (Research Talks).

    Monitoring Research Budgets and AssetsMonitor budgets and expenditures relating to research grants

    Monitor deadlines for the submission of expenditure reports as well as progress and final reports

    Requirements:
    A degree holder from a recognised university

    Proven administrative skills including the ability to handle data with accuracy.

    Excellent reporting with some finance working knowledge would be essential.

    Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Prior working experience in an academic institution will be an advantage.

    Sound interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

    Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word)

    Ability to do content management and creation of information on research (Website, social media and newsletters)

    Positive attitude with strong desire to learn new skillsets
