Janssen, the pharmaceutical arm of J&J, is looking for a Market Access Manager for the Southeast Asia region, reporting to the Therapeutic Market Access Lead (TMAL), Immunology & PAH.

As the regional Market Access Manager for Neurosciences (NS) and Infectious Diseases & Vaccines (IDV), you are accountable for delivering and driving coordinated market access (MA) and pricing strategies for products that fit the priorities of the cross-functional team (XFT).

This unique SEA regional role offers strategic oversight over of six diverse countries of SEA (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand) and India.


The SEA Market Access Manager will require a strong understanding of the local countries and partner with local teams to develop appropriate solutions for access (i.e., reimbursed, and self-pay channels).

They will represent SEA in brand level interactions with AP MA and Pricing, assessing, and seeking approval for pricing cases arising from the SEA op-cos and work collaboratively with the SEA Pricing Manager and the AP team to review the pricing cases with Global.

Furthermore, they will work with the medical team and commercial colleagues to develop clear plans that optimize patient access and improve Janssen's competitive advantage in SEA.

They will collaborate through their functional network and the XFT model to deliver efficient access in complicated environments across a diverse region.


  • In this highly strategic role, you will: _
Own the market access strategy for the brand(s) within the responsibility of the XFT:

  • Lead external engagement around current and evolving Countries health and market The MA Manager is a core member of the cross-functional team and will be accountable and proactive in crafting SEA brand strategies both within and outside of the area of functional responsibility, demonstrating an ability to contribute broadly to strategy decisions
  • Fully engage in key XFT processes, shaping the thinking and bringing a payer and patient perspective to long and shortterm business, financial and evidence generation planning such as realworld evidence\
  • Lead the development and delivery of a full range of tools that support optimal market access (reimbursed / selfpay) across SEA, including the optimal design of patient access programs
  • Maintain a deep understanding of diverse and complex market access and reimbursement processes across the SEA region that can be communicated as insight to compliment the XFT strategy
  • Take budgetary responsibility for managing the MA TA budget, making sure that spending is efficient and timely throughout the year
Lead Market Access strategy development and drive strategic alignment across countries:

  • Lead the SEA MA functional network for the TA/s, bringing the operating company view into XFT discussions and collaborating with countries on market access tool development and dissemination.
  • Partner with SEA pricing manager, AP, and Global colleagues on the execution of pricing research and the needs of SEA
  • Build and implement innovative access model frameworks that secure pricing and access and address the requirements of selfpay and reimbursed markets.
  • Ensure markets have the tools they require to launch new key assets; tools such as the value story, value messages, budget impact tools as well as timely advice on pricing, patient access programs and pricing models.
  • Develop deep expertise into the clinical area of responsibility, gaining a deep understanding of treatment pathways and the pathology of the disease.
  • Keep up to date with scientific developments, bringing the latest techniques and analyses to build the strongest possible value proposition.
  • Commission and run evidence generation projects that fall within the remit of MA, such as database analyses and patient surveys while partnering effectively with Medical Affairs to develop compelling RWE and clinical studies that support MA
  • Cultivate excellent working relationships and collaboration with SEA regional and local market access teams, through regular country visit, creating a culture of trust that enables honest, clear discussions about pricing and access.
  • Champion collaboration with subfunctions in MA such as pricing, policy, and government affairs

Contribute to the Pricing strategy and Pricing approvals:

  • Run regional pricing/payer research in consultation with the pricing lead and translate these insights to build clear regional strategies.
