JOB SUMMARY:

Directs and coordinates human resources activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee relations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage all HR functions to ensure compliance with local laws and effective operations.
  • Lead recruitment and oversee new employee background checks. Create and manage effective onboarding programs.
  • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring HR policies and procedures are in place and in compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Monitor the quality of staff performance including review of disciplinary actions, recommendations for suspension or termination
  • Schedule and conduct annual performance appraisal. Facilitate, review and recommend promotions and compensation revisions.
  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan and aligns with organizational objectives
  • Work with payroll vendor to manage all payroll related activities & reviews payroll every month.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee's resignation.
  • Oversee the training and development for the site in collaboration with L&D specialist.
  • Manage industrial relations issues and establish relationships with external organizations including government agencies; and professional associations
  • Supervise the financial issues for the HR budget including benefits, labour & salary reports and plan cost effective events within the HR budget guidelines
  • Assess the development and effectiveness of all levels of employees and the manpower needs and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies/ contracts comply with the Singapore law.
  • Provide professional HR advices and services to the Management Team and update any new HR trend or change in labour legislation
  • Participate in adhoc human resources projects as required.
