    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities


    • Provide nursing care and patient education through coordination, care management and evaluation for an assigned group of patients and/or patient related activities in a Correctional Healthcare environment


    • Provide optimal care to meet desired patient outcomes and experiences


    • Participate in doctors' rounds and review daily action and treatment plans


    • Assist doctors during clinical procedures, examination and clinical assessment of patients as appropriate Perform a variety of simple invasive and noninvasive procedures related to care plans, within the scope of duties


    • Provide accurate and timely documentation of patients' progress, nursing care, and treatment received


    • Assess patient and develop/implement discharge plan based on patient needs


    • Comply with operational and nursing guidelines and safe practices according to organisation's set standards.


    • Demonstrate required core and special competencies in nursing


    • Maintain current trends in clinical knowledge and competence continuing nursing education


    • Supervise junior nursing personnel in providing quality nursing care


    • Assist in the orientation and induction programmes for trainees and new employees


    • Participate in quality improvement activities, research and committees as assigned, to improve nursing care.


    • Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor
