Description
The Technical Specialist (TS) is a support function to an assigned sales specialist and/or territory to ensure customer expectations are satisfied before, during and post-surgery of an orthopaedic procedure.
Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, close coordination is required between the different stakeholders, which includes sales, customer service, logistics (distribution, warehousing & delivery).
It is expected that the TS will manage & be responsible for the instrumentation, implants and workshops materials allocated to the assigned territory.

This position reports to Associate Sales Manager, Spine
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide technical support to operating staff in theatre during orthopaedic surgery.
- To ensure instrumentation are complete, clean and properly packed prior to and after surgery.
- To develop adequate knowledge of Company's orthopaedic product portfolio and instrumentation to assist nurses and doctors in surgery.
- To support sales personnel during inservices to nurses and doctors and participate in exhibitions (either weekdays or weekends).
- To maintain confidentiality of Company's documentation e.g. pricing, product specifications etc.
- To support sales personnel in the management of inventory for all product portfolio.
- To assist in topping up of consignment implants whenever necessary.
- To ensure that consignment implants are complete at all times.
- To be able to be mobilised during oncall for the next assignment/surgery case.
- To be prepared to support surgeons in surgery during weekends when necessary.
- To be in operating theatre at least 15 minutes prior to surgery.
- To feedback to sales personnel any complaints, competitive activities and suggestions from nurses and doctors.
- To assist in cataloguing & documentation whenever necessary.
- To assist in biannual stocktaking.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- 13 years relevant working experience and nurses with perioperative experience preferred.
- Must be willing to work long and irregular hours, including weekends.
- Demonstrates resilience, resourcefulness, ability to learn and adaptability.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
LOCATION
This position will be based in Singapore
