System Architect

We are hiring System Architect for a ground transportation system in rail signalling and solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading collaborative discussions between internal teams, vendors, and customers to define system requirements.
• Overseeing and approving trade studies to evaluate design alternatives and provide informed recommendations.
• Coaching and mentoring architectural and technical teams.
• Consulting with customers to influence system architecture and design appropriately.
• Approving system architecture and providing guidance to the architecture team.
• Producing comprehensive documentation to support project requirements.
• Reviewing Thales Ground Transportation and third-party documentation and products.
• Liaising with customers on technical, architectural, and procedural matters.
• Implementing policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work within the Program.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Senior Engineering role.
• Experience in architecting complex solutions encompassing hardware and software.
• Proficiency in designing IT infrastructure, large-scale networks, virtualization, and containerization.
• Strong experience in software architecture (e.g., N-Tiers Architecture, SOA, micro-services).
• Experience in Communication Systems, SCADA systems, or Fare Gate Collection for Transportation projects.
• Knowledge of Public Announcement systems, Passenger Information systems, Tetra Radio is advantageous.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple small projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., INCOSE, Institution of Engineers Singapore, etc.).

Desirable:

• AWS Certification, CISCO Certification, or other relevant certifications.
• Higher degree qualifications.
• Experience in Data Analytics and Machine Learning.
• Experience in project management or systems delivery management roles.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering lifecycles.
