    Roles & Responsibilities

    We are now looking for Vice President, Asia Pacific (covering China, South-East Asia, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand) to lead the local market area sales and services organization (~130 empl in ~10 countries) and develop the business further. In this role you will be responsible for all Flow Control Businesses in the whole Asia Pacific region. With your strong people management and communication skills, you will create the local growth strategies based on Flow Control's overall business strategy. You will lead your team through to deliver business targets and goals to reach profitable and sustainable growth.

    You have the foresight to plan for tomorrow, as well as the ability to focus the organization on executing today. The success in this position is measured by the business' profitable growth and our relative position in the markets and the Market Area head's capability to drive results through inspiring people.

    In this role, you report to Flow Control Business Line President and have a seat in Business line's management team where you play an active role in participating and influencing on key decisions.

    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Implementation of Valmet Flow Control's global strategy and defining and implementing the business strategy for the Market Area.
    • Building and leading the Market Area organization in selling Valmet Flow Control's offering through different channels and developing the business focusing on profitable growth. This requires constant management of the sales funnel and profitability of the local businesses.
    • Building and leading the network of Channel Partners and coaching them for continuous performance development.
    • Development of customer and partner relationships, strong ownership of Valmet Flow Control's customer interface. Accountability for the customer and partner satisfaction and of the knowledge on what's happening in the market.
    • Constant development of new customer opportunities and expansion of the regional market share.
    • Development of EPC, OEM and Key Account relationships and driving of sales growth with these customers and partners.
    • Active development and management of the sales and service capabilities within the region.
    • Driving integration and growth synergies with other parts of Valmet.
    • Responsible for health and safety of the sales and service organization.
    • Participates to Flow Control global management team and contributes to leading and developing the whole Flow Control business line.

    Our key requirements for the role are:

    • You hold a technical (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) degree in related field.
    • To succeed in this role, you will need year's experience in technology and manufacturing environment.
    • Strategic Sales and Sales Channel management: The person must have proven results to define sales strategy and lead the strategy implementation focusing on long term growth, increased profitability and effective utilization of assets.
    • Drives profitability and understands the business dynamics of our customer base.
    • Understanding of project businesses through EPC and OEM partners and capabilities to expand the relationships.
    • Overall business performance improvement skills and track record.
    • Strong experience and insight to management of distributor network and performance.
    • Strong customer-oriented sales leader and general manager. Ability to drive sales and coach sales organizations and sales managers, and ability to develop service organization.
    • Strategic business insight: ability and willingness to contribute to Flow Control Business Line strategy and operational development as part of the Flow Control Management Team.
    • Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral. You should also have presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.

    Willingness and ability to travel on an international basis.
