Roles & Responsibilities

Astek is offering a role of Solution Architect for our projects based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee solution architecture for assigned projects:Assist Project Manager/Business Analysts in solution conceptualization, design, and execution.
• Collaborate with application teams and Business Analysts/tech leads from impacted applications for solution design.
• Ensure project alignment with architecture principles and IT standards.
• Optimize solutions for deployment on our IBM Private Cloud.
  
• Assist project managers and tech leads in architecture validation:Develop comprehensive architecture documentation.
  Present projects in architecture validation committee meetings.
  Act as a point of contact for support/evolution activities on a set of applications.
  Provide support throughout the architecture process until project go-live.
  Foster architecture awareness among application teams.
  
• Serve as the reference architect for a set of applications with low architecture impacts for support/evolution activities.
• Work closely with various roles:Collaborate with project managers and business analysts on major cross-functional projects assigned to you.
• Engage with tech leads and developers to comprehend application architecture and assess possible issues.
• Coordinate with application owners to keep referential information about applications up to date.
• Coordinate with the production team to verify availability and compatibility with infrastructure and Cloud services.
  Interact with Enterprise Architects for strategic alignment.
  
• Maintain updated reference documentation throughout project changes
• Update application references.
• Revise IT architecture diagrams.
• Document application non-conformities and create remediation plans.

Review and update architecture principles, checklists, and guidelines as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience of Enterprise Architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices
• Functional/Business knowledge (of your current/past companies)
• Experience in modeling activities (application maps, software design models, data modeling, infrastructure diagrams, etc.)
• Experience running Request for Proposal and assessing solutions
• Strong analysis skills with problem solving attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively in written documents and oral presentations, explaining concepts clearly to audiences at various levels of technical knowledge
• Experience with Java/Spring/Angular, Oracle/PostgreSQL DB, Linux, API, Kafka etc.
• Experience on Cloud migration, integration patterns, high availability patterns etc.
• Effective leadership, planning and organization skills
• Interest in Financial & Banking industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in IT either as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect
• 3+ years of experience as a Developer or Tech Lead

Broad technical knowledge and experience across application, development frameworks, technology

Advantageous:

• Architecture certification (TOGAF) or Cloud Architect certification
• Experience in Financial & Banking industry
• Knowledge of a Core Banking System such as ERI Olympic or Temenos Transact
• SCRUM/Agile experience
