Description
The Retail Area Group Manager is a senior-level management position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees and growing sales and client base in coordination with the Consumer Sales team.
The overall objective of this role is to lead a team, grow sales, build customer loyalty and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives.
Responsibilities may also include the management of activities by external organizations and the direct management of individuals and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee branch operational and service performance by analyzing performance data, developing and executing action plans, communicating and managing performance expectations and facilitating development planning
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to all levels of branch and area staff, concentrating on branch visits and area level meetings to drive individual and branch success and balance in results between client advocacy, sales and operational excellence (including operational risk)
- Partner with segment market managers to drive synergies, review sales pipelines and coordinate priorities/focus areas for branches
- Identify, source and develop talent, coach branch managers and their teams to leverage Citi's lead management system and other lead generation techniques (e.g., referrals, community outreach) and encouraging participation
- Work with various function Managers to drive sales activities by analyzing client and market data to identify potential sales and services opportunities and build partnerships in the community
- Integrate, prioritize and manage promotional campaigns across segment and product lines and embed the principles behind the compensation program to ensure the motivation of the right behaviors and business delivery
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in retail banking, sales management and leading remote teams in a matrix organization
- Proven success in sales, service, operations and employee retention
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, prioritization and organization skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to actively listen
- Proven ability to respond to organizational, business and regulatory changes, inspire others and exhibit flexibility and selfmotivation
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
