    About Singapore Brand Office
    The Singapore Brand Office was jointly set up in June 2019 by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), and the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI). The Office aims to create awareness and advocacy for the Singapore Brand among our fellow Singaporeans.

    For the Singapore Brand Office, the Brand holds tremendous potential to unite Singapore around an identity anchored on the attributes of our tenacious SG spirit – determination, resourcefulness, ambition, hope and optimism.

    We are looking for a Senior Manager for the Singapore Brand Office to help promote and drive a unified SG brand, develop SG-centric partnerships and collaborations with other government agencies for greater proliferation of the brand and contribute to the Office's implementation of the overall brand strategy.

    The outcome is one of a unified Brand SG identity across government and ultimately with businesses and public.

    [What you will be working on]

    Main responsibilities

    Help develop and execute a clear work plan based on the office's 3 key focus areas:

  • Brand Adoption: Improve and deepen brand adoption by Singapore Government ministries and agencies.
  • Brand Guardianship: Ensure brand consistency through adherence to brand guidelines, as well as strengthen brand protections.
  • Brand Development: Drive continuous development of new and relevant brand expressions.
  • Work Scope will include:

    1. Adoption:

  • Act as Brand Evangelist to raise awareness and encourage meaningful adoption of the brand.
  • Identify and develop an adoption pipeline for the SG brand across government agencies, through campaigning, engagement and education.
  • 2. Guardianship:

  • Develop and execute brand guardianship programmes such as training workshops.
  • Responsible for ensuring SG brand is applied well across WOG, assessing requests for use and providing input to brand partnerships and brand guardianship initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing robust set of protections for the SG brand.
  • Development of contracts to protect the brand as needed.
  • 3. Development:

  • Develop and administer the SG Brand Marketing fund.
  • Support the refreshment of the SG Brand, including the development of playbooks and tools as necessary.
  • Work with research partners as necessary to understand SG Brand. health (including messaging) and develop actional insights.
  • Work with Director to develop policy frameworks for brand adoption, governance and development.
  • Project management including effective management of budgets and timelines.
  • Work with team to maintain SG Brand's digital presence on social media.

    Core Competencies

  • Good track record in driving marketing / brand partnerships or business development in both government and non-government settings.
  • Demonstrate understanding in managing brand image, presence and growth.
  • Integrated marketing knowledge and good grasp of effective brand marketing strategies for managing brand image, presence and growth.
  • Experience in working with diverse stakeholders including media, creative agencies, and various Government and non-Government agencies.
  • Strong presentation and people skills.
  • Strong writing skills adaptable to both traditional and digital communications channels.
  • Good grasp of research with demonstrated ability to interpret data into actionable insights is an advantage.
  • Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in branding, marketing and/or business development role.
  • Trained in marketing related discipline.
  • Prior experience working in a government/public organisation will be an advantage.
  • Preferably with experience in social media marketing and management.
