  • The Inventory Planner, APAC role is responsible for executing regional supply chain tactics, managing regional inventory position, and being a key voice in deploying global supply chain strategies to achieve the desired customer service levels and business inventory/cost targets. This requires working closely with the Global Supply Planning Managers for regional Supply Chain strategy and tactics. The Inventory Planner, APAC is a key business partner of regional commercial teams ensuring constant communication of service needs. This is a key role in identifying improvement opportunities within the regional and global supply chain processes. The role is pivotal in crossfunctional communication of regional forecasted inventory status and recovery plans. As a medical device company all the above needs to be executed within the requirements of global/regional/country level regulatory requirements._

  • The Inventory Planner, APAC reports to the Director, Global Supply Planning and indirectly to the Regional Demand Planner, APAC. This role is responsible for regional supply planning processes that are owned by Global Supply Chain. The Inventory Planning role is a key role in CooperVision's management of the regional supply chain and associated operational _capabilities._

_Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
_

- _Consistently_ monitors product inventory to identify priorities of critical items to ensure a high level of customer service. _Establish clear process for communication of critical supply._
- _Ensures Supply orders are present to ensure planned inventory levels at all regional distribution hubs or manufacturing sites. _
- _Proactively identifies issues and potential resolutions working with Planning and Site management teams._
- _Foster collaborative relationships with Global Supply Chain teams. Own the customer supply agenda by ensuring that supply chain joint value creation with customers is captured and commercialized._
- _Build strong relationships with cross functional teams through ownership of regional supply D&OP plan which delivers the required customer service and inventory levels across the region._
- _Identifies areas where regional unconstrained net requirements cannot be met and works with Global Supply Planning to develop resource allocation strategies. _
- _Proactively communicates action plans and recovery projections to cross-functional teams._
- _Maintains Supply Planning regional key performance indicators. Evaluate and act on exceptions to _targets on an ongoing basis (product availability and inventory level)._
- _Guide and coach countries with proper inventory strategy by considering cost and service level, leverage and standardize best practices, and recommend solutions to improve the supply planning competencies._
- _Drives regional ownership of supply planning _D&OP/S&OP meetings. Able to share inventory and service projections to cross-functional teams and Supply Chain leadership on these forums. _
- _Champions a continuous improvement mindset, systematically root causing issues and putting in place key actions and processes to avoid re-occurrence and p_articipates in Continuous Improvement Projects._
- _Drives for overall use of planning systems avoiding offline files/communications as much as possible. _
- _Supports regional new product introduction through collaboration with cross-functional sources: new product and global supply planning teams. Responsible for validating local readiness for launch. _
- _Monitors regional product flows to ensure timely product shipping, and receipts in the packaging/distribution centres to ensure inventory/service targets are met. Able to proactively align and communicate recovery plans with Operations and regional Commercial teams when needed. _
- _Works with Global Supply Managers to resolve short/long term challenges of known supply shortfalls based on D&OP/S&OP outputs. Able to escalate and concisely communicate known supply issues and corrective actions proactively. _
