Research Analyst - Singapore - Global Private Capital Association

Description

GPCA is seeking a full-time Asia-focused Research Analyst to support its efforts to produce industry data, in-depth reports and presentations for Members and related stakeholders.

GPCA's research content is widely used by its Members and other industry professionals for global comparative analysis of private equity, venture capital, private credit and real assets/infrastructure investment flows.

The Research Analyst's primary responsibilities will be supporting GPCA's data program and the publication of Asia-focused research content out of the Singapore office by:

• Systematically collecting quantitative and qualitative information on private capital activity across global markets, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, through both third-party sources and direct communication with GPCA Members and other industry stakeholders
• Interpreting and entering this information in GPCA's proprietary database and knowledge management systems
• Cultivating relationships with GPCA Member firms and other industry stakeholders to support direct data collection efforts
• Working with the rest of the research team based in New York and with GPCA's Asia Director on the development of Asiafocused research reports
• Producing quantitative analysis and exhibits in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as written commentary, for use in GPCA reports and _ad hoc_ presentations
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of GPCA's data management systems and engagement with Asiabased investors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in economics, finance, international affairs, statistics, mathematics or similar, ideally in a dataintensive research, finance or international development capacity
• Full fluency in English and excellent written/verbal communication skills; (additional Southeast Asian language skills a plus)
• Strong knowledge of or interest in Asian markets (with interest in private equity, venture capital, real estate and/or technology preferred)
• Strong detail orientation and ability to focus on dataintensive, quantitative projects
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint preferred
• Strategic thinking, highly organized selfstarting mentality and ability to work independently
• High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic
