MAIN PURPOSE


The Regional Business Development Manager is in charge of ensuring the implementation of the sales and distribution policy in order to develop our brands and turnover in his/her area.

He/she must propose local actions, within the marketing plan, to develop Shiseido group's brands and profits.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Negotiating and implementing the annual marketing plan with each country in the region

  • Communicating regularly with the distributor (local market) to ensure the compliance with the
- marketing plan

  • Regularly reporting to the Operational Marketing teams on promotions
  • Ensuring the signature and fulfilment of retailer/distributor contracts

Tracking trends and analysing the distribution network of his/her area

  • Analysing the local distribution network and business results for each point of sale
  • Studying the prices of competing brands, recording prices and comparing them with suggested retail prices
  • Noting the marketing activities of competing brands
  • Analysing how competing brands are established on a specific market
  • Analysing the sales potential of a country, market, store

Negotiating Sales and A&P with Distributor

  • Manage local P&L by negotiating sales, A&P and local marketing activities with distributors
  • Negotiating spaces, promotions, BCs (in the stores)
  • Presenting sales cycles for each product
  • Negotiating P&L, additional investments
  • Negotiating promotions within the allotted budgets

Canvassing markets in an area

  • Transmitting Shiseido Group "DNA" and guidelines to agents and operators
  • Making onsite visits and communicating regularly with operators and agents to ensure the
- compliance with our brand images and price policy

Drawing up and managing a budget

  • Drawing up P&L for each area and customer in compliance with Cost Control guidelines
  • Reaching the targets set for turnover and sales margins while respecting brand images

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Studies
  • At least 58 years of relevant working experience, preferably dealt with distributorship previously, with experience in beauty category
  • Ability to manage in a matrix environment interfacing with all levels of the organisation including the global management team
  • Selfer, creative and strong desire to work in a highly entrepreneurial environment
