Description

My client, an Asian bank is looking to hire an VP, Technology Governance & Control to be part of their key IT Team provioding IT Technology Governance and Control oversight on the IT System Development and Service Management, IT Operations, and IT Support and Control function team.

Role

  • Oversee IT GRC activities in APAC branches, including risk reporting, audit support, and risk acceptance review.
  • Manage or support regulatory compliance efforts, such as MAS Cyber Hygiene and RMiT gap analysis.
  • Provide risk and control consulting and advisory services to technology units, and resolve technology risk issues.
  • Coordinate and facilitate control selfassessment activities, including independent control testing and control description review.
  • Challenge technology units on risk remediation priorities at 1LOD, and provide risk opinions, advisories, and recommendations to IT management and 2LOD.
  • Support 2LOD in risk governance activities, such as KRI establishment and monitoring/reporting.
  • Maintain and update IT policies and processes owned by the team.

Requirements:


  • Education: Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in risk & control or audit function in the financial industry.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to identify risks and assess adequacy of controls, as well as recommending suitable control enhancements.
  • Good appreciation of cyber risk management strategies/controls in the industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and able to manage stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
  • Prior experience in delivering security awareness training within the organization.
  • Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically

Certifications:
CISSP or CISM certification is preferred.
