    Roles & Responsibilities

    The Programme Executive (Japanese Section) is responsible for the planning and effective delivery of Japanese programmes (including Aquatics, Sports & Recreation, Camps) for the Japanese community in Singapore. The incumbent staff is also expected to work with local staff to serve and build community aiming at social impact with children, youth, families and seniors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the administration, standards and procedures involved in the daily operations of Japanese Programmes to ensure active compliance and accountability.
    • Plans, executes and implements sports and wellness outreach programme for Japanese programme children
    • Grows and improves Japanese programme enrolment, publicity and quality
    • Develops and evaluates programmes (curriculum, lesson plans, etc.) for smooth running and sustainability
    • Collaborates and works with local section in outreach programmes to local community
    • Retains current members and grows new membership
    • Creates opportunities for warm and positive contact between participants, parents and instructors. This includes conducting regular parent-instructor meetings addressing participant development and feedback for improvements.
    • Works with the network of relationships with the local Japanese community, including schools, churches, embassy, and corporations
    • Recruits and trains instructors and volunteers in programme running, safety issues, class management and conflict resolution
    • Updates regularly records and registration of participants, fees and payments
    • Prepares documents for Japanese section including programme proposals, admin procedures, costing sheets, cash settlement forms, marketing materials, etc
    • Attends meetings (internal and external), workshops and seminars when required

    Requirement

    • Degree in Sports/Physical Education/Outdoor Education
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
    • Passion in people-centred work through Japanese and related programmes
    • Fluent in Japanese language and basic English
    • Project Management skills: ability to lead, organize and coordinate projects
    • Experience and knowledge of physical education, membership, family, youth and children programmes
    • Ability to establish, maintain, motivate and build effective relationships with stakeholders (parents, children, volunteers, staff)
