Research Fellow - Singapore - SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN
Description
Roles & Responsibilities
SUTD invites applications for a Research Fellow position in a research project to develop intelligent, secure, and resilient future communications systems.
In particular, to support a diverse set of use cases with ever-increasing requirements, the architectural design of 5G and future 6G systems emphasizes software-defined reconfigurability and AI-enabled intelligent operations.
Open
RAN as a generic term used by the community for an open radio access network architecture is viewed as a promising way to achieve this design objective.
While open
RAN promotes interoperable interfaces,
RAN virtualization, and support for big data and AI-enabled
RAN, its success requires us to overcome multiple challenges in particular, how to build intelligence and adaptability into such a system while still providing high assurance regarding its security and resilience.
RAN systems.
The application should contain a complete resume, a cover letter describing the applicant's background (a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related disciplines, is required), past research experience and technical skillset, and contact information of up to three references.
