    Description

    The technician is responsible for skilled maintenance, repair, and testing of electronic equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading electronic SKUs.

    Job Description

    • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components replacement
    • Perform soldering using techniques such as TH, SMT and BGA
    • Perform repairs for Switching Power supplies and Server Power Supplies
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair electronic equipment
    • Prior experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic equipment
    • Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-free
    • Provide accurate feedback with parts usage and failure mode reporting and customer meter readings
    • Must be able to problem solve, read and comprehend technical information
    • Pull, lift, reach and transport equipment parts and boxes

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • 2 â€' 3 years relevant experience in Electronics Repair
    • NITEC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
    • CompTIA A+ 2019 certification would be advantageous
    • Good knowledge in Electronic Device Repairs such desktops, laptops, tablets, and its FRUs
    • Good knowledge in electronic device troubleshooting and failures diagnostics
    • Experience with soldering/desoldering PCB techniques / Preferred with IPC J-STD-001 IPC-A-610 IPC-A-620 Rework and Repair and IPC-A-600
    • Good communications skills
    • Able to lift weights up to 20 kgs
    • Good computer skills (MS-Office, excel, word)
    • Good team player (Ability to work independently and as a team player
    • Experience working with warranty reduction and value improvement initiatives is preferred
