You will be joining the Finance team based in Singapore (HQ) where you will learn how Finance plays an integral role to the respective businesses (i.e., Garena, Shopee, and SeaMoney). Through handson experience, you'll get to hone your skills, and contribute meaningfully to our finance operations.
As an intern with the Tax team, you will actively engage in a variety of impactful tasks including, but not limited to:
Assist in preparation of Singapore tax compliance submissions, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Goods & Services (GST) returns, and gain a comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's taxation system
Provide support in regional tax analysis and planning, such as tax modeling, tax research and tax assessment on tax regulatory changes, and enhance your analytical skills
Participate in new business initiatives including contract review processes, and deepen your understanding of the tax team's role within the broader finance team
Liaise with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders when required, and strengthen your communication and collaboration skills
Perform other related adhoc duties as assigned, and broaden your perspectives on our financial operations

Job Requirements:

Are you ready to embark on this learning journey? Here's what we are looking for in our ideal intern:
Currently in the penultimate year of undergraduate studies or beyond, majoring in Accountancy or related field
Display a good grasp of Singapore's taxation system
Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills, and approach tasks with a proactive and optimistic mindset
Thrive in a fastpaced environment, and encompass the ability to work independently while embracing new challenges.
Possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Able to commit a minimum 6 months of fulltime internship from June to Dec 2024
