The Role Responsibilities


The Project Manager of Cloud is responsible for delivering Bank's AWS cloud & platform services so as to have safe, secure, resilient and compliant services made available to our clients at the most optimal costs.

Role has responsible to drive the outcomes on time with high certainty, proactively manage risks and remediate any findings. Manage costs aspects in the platform delivery of both implementation and resource allocation. Promptly attended and resolve incidents or disruption.

Ensuring that Standard Chartered cloud environments are consistent with Bank audit and compliance requirements and consistent with the design ethos.

(ie:

MCAP Submissions). Focus all efforts against objective of Consistent, Secure and Resilient platform.


Strategy

  • Plan and execute operations and initiatives; publish portfolio health, accomplishments and milestones, report and track portfolio issues (with action plans), risks (with mitigation strategies)

Business

  • Proactively monitoring and reporting all critical aspects of the teams' initiatives to enable the stakeholders, including the Cloud management team, to have a consistent, transparent and accurate view of their status as well as their probable trajectory.
  • Partner across technology units to drive technical solutions and develop/deliver them to meet the prioritised business initiatives. Engage customers proactively and provide timely response or updates to customer, where required.

Processes

  • Track, report and drive delivery of initiatives, whilst optimising resources.
  • Provide Service Performance Reports at agreed schedule.
  • Improve operating processes, measure & track productivity, and coordinate organisational procedures for optimised efficiency.

People & Talent

  • Holds sufficient knowledge in a function, product or process
  • Executes products, policies or processes
  • Supervises and manages team members

Risk Management

  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within the Cloud organisation

Governance

  • Main contact point for all contract liaison including:
  • Ensuring compliance with SCBuy processes, contract management, periodic assessments.
  • Manage Statement of work orders with partners & vendors including ensuring smooth onboarding, tracking.
  • Manage & representation at Deal Approval Boards for all AWS contracts.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key stakeholders

  • Communicate effectively on technical and business issues to both internal team members and customer

Technology / Process

  • 10 years of experience within large Financial Institution and excellent stakeholder management on Enterprise scale preferably utilising Amazon Web Services
  • Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification to be in line with Project management standards in the bank.
  • Proficient contract, vendor management to ensure smooth delivery of the services.
  • Strong experience in planning and executing operations as well as new projects
  • Expertise in developing and implementing Operational Governance framework
  • ITIL orientated approach around deployment and infrastructure control on Enterprise level
  • Cloud Technology knowledge to handle and run Change, Incident and Problem management
  • Successful data driven Continuous Service Improvement delivery
