Description

KPMG's ESG Banking Centre of Excellence (COE) is the key driver behind KPMG SG in activating market capacity in ESG and unlocking a sense of purpose across the Financial Services community.


The Research & Insights Services (RIS) team will be at the forefront of analysing global data, research and analytics platform to inform the Banking industry across global markets, Asia and Singapore via KPMG's proprietary distribution channels.

RIS will be targeting domains across transition finance (supply/ demand/ forecast), carbon economics and circular economy.


The dynamic role, to join a growing and developing team, involves:


  • Ability to design a goto research and insights programme related to banking, ESG, and its impact on real economy sectors to empower team expertise when advising their clients.
  • Ability to synthetise ESG research findings and aggregated data into compelling narratives that influence management decision making and immediate call to actions across the target real economy sectors.
  • Ability to gather necessary requirements in collaboration with ESG COE's Business Foundry and Asset Development Team to develop the following:
  • Freemium platform of on-demand and proprietary (primary + secondary) data for public, client, and internal access.
  • Social engagement platform for crossindustry sharing of insights.
  • Ability to actively build and maintain relationship with key Banking and Real Economy Sector partners to scale ESG COE's omnibus research capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with global counterparts to ideate and strategise on commercialisation model for the published research and insights i.e. freemium, payperuse, etc.
  • Ability to comfortably summarise aggregated data and findings on ESG & Banking into bitesized/thematic content for ondemand distribution.
  • Ability to leverage on social media and third party online distribution channels (newsletter, corporate subscription, gotomarket thought leadership, etc.) to amplify awareness and loyalty around ongoing published content.
  • Ability to demonstrate good understanding of business stakeholders' expectations and keep up to date with disclosure requirements as secondary consideration for publications.

Minimum 7-10 years (M) years of experience in publishing thought leadership, research, and insights in the financial services sector from an ESG sustainability lens

Extensive knowledge in data processing language or statistical programmes - i.e. SQL, Python, R, etc

Extensive proficiency in working with up-to-date, modern data visualisation tools
:

Extensive experience in data storytelling and shaping compelling narrative to C-suite and key stakeholders

Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry

Good knowledge on ESG - attainment of IPCC certs, SASB-FSA Accreditations, Social Return on Investment Certs/Accreditation is a plus

You demonstrate independence, innovative and resourceful thinking and strong relationship building, organisational and presentation skills

You feel confident managing stakeholders (external clients & global counterparts) in ambiguous situations with shifting priorities

You have a naturally inquisitive mind with an ability to think "outside the box".
